From Chester take the A51 then A54 through Congleton towards Buxton. A mile or so after the sharp left hander at Allgreave, turn left to Wildboarclough. Take either the first or second right to aviod Wildboarclough village and the Stanley Arms should be 3 miles straight ahead..
